The primary target that motivated its creation is the one to look for solutions and alternatives that improve the perspective of the citrícola industrial activity in the Argentine Republic. For it one works in fomenting and coordinating the efforts of the partners in the different areas, to maintain a dynamic exchange of information and to support all tendiente initiative to the benefit of the sector.

In the general scope, one coordinates the citric defense of the interests and rights of agroindustrias before the powers public and the representative organizations of the workers.

From its beginning this nuclea Organization to industrializadores of citrus. At the present time the voluntary contribution of companies maintains to CICA economically and their associate belong to the Argentine provinces of Currents, Between Rivers, Jumps, Jujuy, Missions, Tucumán and Formosa.
CICA is recognized in our country like representative Organization by the different dependencies from the national and provincial governments.
